The sports project “Insieme a canestro – minibasket and inclusive baskin for all” is back, the initiative that combines sports and social, promoted by Asd Gea Basketball Grosseto and supported by the municipal administration. From September 1, 2024 to May 31, 2025, the Grosseto sports club will offer baskin activities, the famous team sport played by disabled and able-bodied people together.
The mayor Antonfrancesco Vivarelli Colonna is enthusiastic: “We are proud to support a project that promotes the inclusion and participation of all citizens, regardless of their physical or mental abilities. Baskin is not just a sport, but an opportunity to break down barriers and build a more united and supportive community. The initiative demonstrates how sport can be a powerful tool for social change, creating moments of sharing and growth for everyone”.
Great satisfaction also from the Sports Councilor, Fabrizio Rossi, and the Social Affairs Councilor Sara Minozzi, who commented: “We are happy, through our departments, to be able to contribute to the financing of the initiative. Baskin represents a sport that is not only accessible, but a way of living life by breaking down barriers and creating joy and inclusiveness. Seeing children, young people and adults of all ages and abilities playing together is a tangible sign of how sport can unite and make a difference”.
