Once upon a time there was a bird that couldn’t fly. How is that possible? Simple, it was a paper bird. A painter had painted it so beautiful and alive that it seemed real. But it wasn’t true, it was just a paper bird and it couldn’t fly. And yet, it had something extraordinary: it could talk. “I want to fly, I want to fly!”, the cries wake up a cat, a sheet of paper that talks, the cat couldn’t believe his ears… annoyed, he opened the window and let it fall. The paper bird slowly descended, wrapped in the darkness of the night, dancing lightly in the warm air, down, down, down, until… Thus begins the great journey that will lead the sheet of paper to meet many birds that populate the night, a real adventure. Thus begins a story of friendship and support: the first flight, the first fall, the encounter with the tree, with the crows, the woodcock… each of which will try to teach the paper bird to fly. A delicate show. A story where the stage objects transform into something else, stimulating the children’s imagination: a hat becomes a cat, gloves are crows…
