Toquinho, a music legend, celebrates his career in Terni

On July 21st, at 9:30 p.m., the Roman Amphitheater of Terni is preparing to become the stage for a musical event of international resonance. This year, the Tributo Endrigo is transformed into a Tributo d’Autore, and the first event will feature Toquinho, a true living legend of international music.

The organizers of the event emphasize the importance of this Italian stop in the European summer tour of Toquinho, an artist who has held thousands of concerts around the world. His presence in Terni is a source of pride for the city, which has the opportunity to host an event of such caliber.

Toquinho, or “Toco”, as Vinicius De Moraes affectionately called him, is a symbol of Brazil’s strength and musical tradition. His warm voice and delicate touch on the guitar make him an authentic and appreciated interpreter.

To celebrate his almost 60 years of artistic career, Toquinho chose Terni, a city linked to Sergio Endrigo, his great friend and artistic collaborator. From this partnership, enriched by the contribution of poets De Moraes and Ungaretti, a record was born that is still considered the most important example of fusion between music and poetry.

During the concert, Toquinho, accompanied by his band, will retrace his greatest successes, including those composed for Italian artists. The concert will be a tribute to all the great friends with whom Toquinho shared music and poetry, because, as he said, “life is the art of meeting”.

Camilla Faustino, a talented singer, will accompany Toquinho in the duets that made him famous in Italy and around the world. The concert will be a journey into the “saudade” of Tom Jobim and his great friend and collaborator Vinicius de Moraes, Baden Powell, Carlos Lyra, Chico Buarque, Menescal and many others.

The audience at the Roman Amphitheater will be transported into the poetic soul of Bossa Nova and the magic of “Afro Sambas”, through the songs that have conquered the world.

Tickets for the event are available on the TICKETITALIA circuit and in Terni at NEW SINFONY Galleria del Corso. The organizers are certain that the concert will be an engaging experience, capable of transmitting unique and unrepeatable emotions through South American musicality.
