ADRIA (Rovigo) – Paolo Duò (photo), President of Cantiere Navale Vittoria, responds to the statements of Gabriele Busetto, former Financial Director of the Company, published on Rovigo News (READ ARTICLE).
“What Gabriele Busetto says contains several falsehoods. First of all – he comments Paul Duò – he forgot to mention that his managerial activity had a strong influence on the Board of Directors, which relied completely on his work for the administrative and financial aspects.
Furthermore, another falsehood is the one regarding his departure in October 2022. The departure occurred due to the high managerial costs that his role entailed for the company.. The fact that a transaction took place between the parties last June 7 does not mean that Accountant Busetto operated correctly and transparently, on the contrary. It was simply a transaction agreed with our lawyers in order to avoid useless and exhausting lawsuits against the company, in this delicate historical moment.
The undersigned, and the rest of the Board of Directors – highlights the President of the Vittoria Shipyard – also deny the statement that in October 2022 the company was not already in difficulty: precisely because of the distortions that I had detected in the previous months, it was decided to pair Busetto with another experienced manager, who would allow us to better understand the real economic-financial problems of CNV, which closed that year with a 5 million loss in the balance sheet, and the following year with 10 – I don’t think such a loss is generated in the space of a few months. A manager who in fact led to an incompatibility with Busetto himself, who had reached the end of his working cycle at CNV.
I am ready to confront the former manager at the appropriate offices, with the appropriate documentation demonstrating his actions.”
