CAPRARICA DI LECCE – Three events in the ancient Piazza Garibaldi where, in collaboration with the social restaurant Convivia, the municipal administration proposes the presentation of works of interest for all tastes, from poetry to detective novels.

The review is curated by Laura Pedone, professor of philosophy and history, and starts on July 4th at 8.30 pm with the collection of verses “Divieto di balneazione”, the fourth by Lorenzo Trigiani, creative director of Red Hot, a historic communication agency in Puglia, who presents himself to the public ten years after his last work “Oli esausti”.

Accompanied by illustrations by Giuseppe Guida, Divieto di balneazione, published by Pequod (the well-known Ancona publishing house directed by Marco Monina), between accelerations and arrhythmias, wrong-way escapes and dance hall shoes, builds a powerful, vibrant, psychedelic imagery, where poetry loops on itself. A rapid, surreal, clear writing, which strikes without holding back, which lights up the nights as if they were day, which keeps infantrymen and kings in its pocket.

A book that is a score, that plays on the beat and offbeat, that crowns the word, celebrates it, marries it. The author does not withdraw, he stays within his verses, he accompanies them by the hand, as in Cerchio: You are the deepest intention a silent film the crest of the wave a hidden anxiety that the circle does not close when morning comes.

Lorenzo Trigiani will present his book on Thursday 4 July at 8.30 pm accompanied by Laura Pedone, curator of the review, and Salvatore Polito, literary and visual critic.
