From 14 July to 8 September 2024 the National Museum of Photography in Brescia will host “The Way You Look at Me – Three Happy Dead Boys in the Eyes of 40 Photographers”a major retrospective on the occasion of the thirty-year career of Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti, the masked musical group that left an indelible mark on the history of Italian independent music. The initiative, together with the Garage Pordenone album and the very busy tour that began in April, which will take Tre Allegri all over Europe in the autumn, is part of the events marked by the hashtag #TARM30, dedicated to celebrating the band’s anniversary as a memorable year-long party.

The exhibition, curated by Luisa Bondoni and Paola Bristotcollects 60 shots by 40 Italian and foreign photographers (professional and otherwise): : Matias Altbach, Alessandro Astegiano, Carole Basile, Daniele Bianchi, Andrea Calabrese, Alessandra Campolin, Margherita Caprilli, Roberto Cavalli, Simone Cecchetti, Stefano Cioffi, Paolo Ciot, Lorenzo Commisso, Fabio Cussigh, Danilo D’Auria, Marcella De Gregoriis, Marcoantonio Di Giulian, Elia Falaschi, Jacopo Farina, Luigi Galmozzi, Cecilia Ibañez, Olga Litvinova, Ilaria Magliocchetti Lombi, Fabio Marchioro, Annapaola Martin, Demis Martinelli, Franco Moret, Elisa Moro, Alice Pedroletti, Stefano Pinci, Paolo Proserpio, Massimo Spadotto, Laura Stramacchia, Sebastiano Tomà, Vanessa Tomasin, Elena Tubaro, Fabio Valente, Alessandro Venier, Antonio Viscido, Mattia Zoppellaro, Paulonia Zumo.

A unique perspective on the fantastic world of Luca, Davide, Enrico and the other artists who collaborate with them, an extraordinary key to relive, through the style and sensitivity of 40 different authors, the story of Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti, discover the background, the endless joy and the changes that occurred from 1994 to 2024.

The inauguration will be held on Sunday 14 July at 18:00 in the presence of the Mayor of Brescia Laura Castellettiof the artists Luca Masseroni and Davide Toffolo and of many of the photographers involved.

The exhibition, sponsored by the Municipality of Brescia and created in collaboration with Petite Photo Brescia, the FIAF Gallery and Radio Onda d’Urto, was made possible thanks to the generosity of photographers who offered their works free of charge.

I Three Merry Dead Boys Celebrate Three Decades of Musicadventures and independence, with more than 1,500 concerts, 10 albums, comics and the creation of the La Tempesta label, which has supported Italian independent music since its inception.
