Police Headquarters Sets Up “Volante Mare” for Coastal Controls – Teramo

TERAMO. Also this year the police headquarters, from today until August 31, establishes surveillance and control services in the municipal territories of Alba Adriatica and Martinsicuro, extending this action also to the neighboring localities of the coastal strip. This is the so-called “Volante mare”.

“The need for a strengthened prevention action, which will integrate in those territories the ordinary prevention and control device of the territory already in place by the Carabinieri, arises from the high presence of tourists who during the summer season will crowd the coastal resorts of the province, where among other things there are numerous clubs”, reads a note.

Prevention activities, as in previous years, will be ensured and coordinated by the general prevention and public rescue office, with the contribution of reinforcement units sent by the ministry: the service will be divided into four daily shifts 24 hours a day, including weekends, to allow a safe summer for the numerous citizens and tourists who will crowd the coasts of the province of Teramo.

The focus will be on monitoring the most at-risk territorial areas through intensive road control of people, vehicles and accommodation facilities, as well as on first aid in the event of public order needs.
