Thinning out the squad is the priority for Torino. The grenade dt David Vagnati must deal with an extra-large squad, with several players to sell since they are not part of the Granata’s plans. It won’t be easy, because many of these players are not coming off a memorable season. Tuttosport has taken stock of the names, starting with Sanabria: expires in 2026, last season he scored 5 goals in 35 appearances. Parma and a couple of Spanish clubs are interested in him: Vagnati would like to bring home 10 million from his transfer. Also Pilgrims (1 goal this season, expiring in 2025) is on the market. Torino bought him from Monaco for 4.5 million and wants to get back the amount paid. Among the big names who can be sacrificed is Ilicwith Zenit offering 25 million and the player still having to decide on this proposal from Russia. It would be a significant capital gain, having been paid 16 million.
Radonjic (expires 2025) has been requested by Red Star: he would gladly return to Serbia, but the club in question has not yet presented a noteworthy offer. Other surplus players who are not currently in high demand are: Karamoh (expires in 2025, coming off a grey year in garnet) and Seck (also with a contract that expires in 12 months and protagonist of a season with more shadows than lights between Torino and Frosinone). He also returns Ilkhan from loan to Basaksehir: difficult to recover the 5 million given to Besiktas to buy him. Trabzonspor would like him, but only on loan.
Finally, there are the players who have disappointed in their experiences between B and C and who clearly have not encouraged any potential suitors to come forward. These are the full-backs Bayeye e Breakdown (coming from years in the ranks of Ascoli and Catania and with contracts expiring in 2025 and 2026 respectively). More placeable Horvathwhose performances in Hungary with the Kecskemet jersey were good.
