Lazio Health, UGL Salute: “The Birth Point of Anzio-Nettuno must reopen. Lazio Region listen to our requests”
“We stand alongside the citizens of Anzio, Nettuno and the surrounding areas in the battle to see the birth point of their hospital reopened. The mobilization, which also includes a signature collection, has its reasons. Closed during the pandemic, the birth point, which serves a population estimated at around 120,000 units, was supposed to move towards its natural reopening, as promised by the Director Pro Tempore of ASL RM 6 with a public commitment. But, as we know, words fly. Like the hope of the interested citizens of being able to give birth to their children at the Anzio-Nettuno Hospital.
The hospital has been debased over time, deprived of resources and this new episode confirms the lack of attention of the Lazio Region towards the structure and the citizens who could use its services. The Anzio – Nettuno Hospital is already equipped while in the Castelli Hospital, which is about 15 kilometers from Velletri, it will have to set up a completely new Birth Point. Is this the new course of regional healthcare?
