Organized as in previous years by the IMFR association, the I’m from Rennes festival invites festival-goers from September 5 to 15, 2024 for a 13e editing.
Building on its success in 2023, with nearly 20,000 festival-goers in total, the festival organization wishes to continue its momentum, by offering several events and activities, with the aim of making the most of the end of summer.
A unique program for all tastes
In total, around twenty local artists such as Atr! um, WWW., Mac & Wester and many others, who will provide the show throughout the festival. DJ set, pop, rock, rap, electro, there will be something for everyone. “All the artists present are artists that we really appreciate, and that we want to highlight”says Cédric Bouchu, head of programming and festival organizer. The IMFR association wants to make this event a real moment of meetings and discoveries, for artists and festival-goers alike.
A festival that is always free
Apart from the surprise concert on Friday, September 6, 2024, which will take place in a location that is still unknown at this time, all concerts and activities of the festival will be free. “To stay true to our values, the festival will be virtually free. However, we couldn’t afford to offer the secret venue concert for free, so it will be the only paying event at the festival.”
The only income for the association will be from the refreshment bar. “We don’t encourage consumption, but a little bit anyway, in moderation of course!”explains Cédric Bouchu.
In addition to this festival, the IMFR association is present outside of editions in several Rennes events: the J’suis vert festival, in collaboration with Enesys; the opening of the cloister garden at the Couvent des Jacobins, for an afternoon of concerts; or “Ring”, an event which will take place on October 26, 2024 at l’Étage, which will bring together the best Rennes rappers of all generations.
