Prestigious promotions for the Benevento referee movement: Russo in Serie D and Iannella in five-a-side football
The new 2024/2025 sports season opens with two great pieces of news for the movement
referee Benevento.
The National Committee of the Italian Referees Association has, in fact, announced the promotion of Francesco Russo to the National Referees Commission of Serie D and of Michele Iannella to the
National Five-a-Side Football Commission.
Francesco, a referee at the disposal of the regional technical body for seven seasons, has distinguished himself
during the sporting season refereeing several key matches of the championship
Campania excellence and directing the final of the regional phase of the under 19 championship between
Acerrana and Sarnese.
Michele, on the other hand, a five-a-side football referee since 2020, received the award during the season
designation of two finals: that of the Coppa Italia C1 and that of the play-off final, always
of the C1 futsal championship, in addition to also directing the most important direct clashes of the
category.
Two very prestigious news in the Sannio refereeing panorama: Russo and Iannella, engaged
actively also in the growth of young referees who are approaching the sport for the first time
this activity, will contribute to representing the section of throughout the national territory
Benevento.
