The Giardini d’Estate program is in full swing, with the documentary film “Emme” dedicated to Maserati on Wednesday 3 July, and continues during the week with the Pierangelo Bertoli Award and a concert by Modena singer-songwriter Andrea Govoni. All the week’s events take place at 9 pm and admission is free.
On Wednesday 3 July, “Emme. La Maserati a Modena” will be screened, a 46-minute documentary film by journalist Stefano Ferrari, which uses interviews, unpublished documents and evocative images to tell the story of the car manufacturer and its unique bond with the city of Modena.
Thursday 4 July, pre-final of the Pierangelo Bertoli Award: 25 new singer-songwriters competing to gain access to the final that will be held in autumn at the Teatro Carani in Sassuolo. The evening will be hosted by Andrea Barbi. Guests include singer-songwriter Alberto Bertoli and the winner of the New Singer-songwriters section of the 2023 Bertoli Award, Emanuele Conte.
Sunday 7 July, concert by Andrea Govoni, singer-songwriter and musician from Modena. With him, an exceptional band: Roberto Dell’Era, bass of Afterhours; Alessandro Deidda, drums of Le Vibrazioni; Tao, historic guitarist of Alberto Fortis; Anna Bazueva on the flute; Andrea Biviano on the sax; Simone Rossetti Bazzaro, former violinist for big names in Italian and international music such as Zucchero, Francesco Guccini, Roberto Vecchioni; Antonio Cortesi on the cello.
The Modena Summer is promoted by the Municipality of Modena with the support of the Modena Foundation and the Hera Group.
