Il Porto Bolaro Shopping Center will be the fascinating setting for the third edition of the Calabria Table Football Cup. The prestigious team competition, organized this year by the Subbuteo Club Reggio Calabria under the aegis of the Italian Table Football Sports Federation (FISCT) he was born in National Subbuteo Sector of the Organization for Sports Education (OPES)a sports promotion body recognized by the CONI), will be held on Sunday July 7thfrom 9.30 am to 6.00 pm, in the space in front of “Mediaworld”, inside the shopping centre located in San Leo di Reggio Calabria.
The tournament has been included in the list of initiatives planned by the rich summer calendar of the same Shopping Center, which enthusiastically supported this sporting event by offering a large space, within its structure, to the athletes of the Calabrian miniature football teams.
The participating teams
The teams participating in the 2024 edition of the Calabria Table Football Cup will be seven: AS Cosenza, Bruzia D086, CRUC Cosenza, CT Paola, Catanzaro, SC Reggio Calabria and RhegionThe defending champions are AS Cosenza, who have already won the first two editions and who, in the event of further success this year, will definitively conquer the beautiful trophy up for grabs.
Table Football Team CompetitionsThe challenges of the Table Football team competitions include a contemporary clash on four different fields of two teams made up of four players, with the final result calculation very similar to that of the Davis Cup in tennis and therefore determined by any victories on the individual playing field. In the knockout stages, in the event of a tie, the actual goals scored on the playing fields will be counted. In the event of a further tie, extra time will be played, where the team that scores first on one of the four fields will win (Sudden Death).
