six evenings of culture and gastronomy in Taranto

Experience the enchantment of Taranto seen from the sea, in the evening, through a unique sensory experience that combines culture, music and local food and wine excellence. This is what “Note in Onda” offers, the initiative born from the collaboration between Kyma Mobilità and the Posizione Note agency of Leandra Attanasio, with the patronage of Puglia Promozione and the Municipality of Taranto.

The festival includes six themed evenings aboard Kyma Mobilità motorboats, offering a journey that goes beyond a simple maritime tour: it is a complete immersion in the senses and beauties of the city. Each evening will be enriched by theatrical readings that tell stories of the sea, adventures and mysteries, as well as live music performed by prominent artists, who will range across different genres and styles.

The cultural and spectacular experience will be completed by the tasting of typical dishes of Taranto cuisine, accompanied by high-quality local wines. The first appointment, entitled “Luci sul mare”, is scheduled for Friday 5 July, leaving at 20:00 from Piazzale Democrate and returning at approximately 22:30. The ticket costs €27 and can be purchased at the Kyma Mobilità Sales Office in via D’Aquino 21.

Radio Cittadella will broadcast the evenings live, hence the name “Note in Onda”, referring to both the waves of the sea and those of the airwaves.

The program includes five other events: “The song of the sirens” on July 19, “The devotion of sailors” on August 2, “Divine chatter” on August 16, “Where do fairies live?” on August 30, and “Voices in the alleys” on September 6. Each mini-cruise includes several stops at sea for theatrical readings, concerts, and food and wine tastings, starting with a tour of the Mar Piccolo to admire the underwater springs of the “citri”. The motor vessel will continue passing under the Punta Penna Bridge, skirting the Arsenal and the Torpedo Station, crossing the Navigable Canal, and reaching the Mar Grande to offer a spectacular view of the Old City and the Lungomare del Borgo Umbertino.

On the way back, the motor vessel will sail along the Old Town, with fishing boats moored on Via Garibaldi, before returning to Piazzale Democrate. “Note in Onda” promises to be a memorable experience for tourists and a source of pride for the people of Taranto.
