The experience of ends Marco Carretto on the bench of the Basketball Trieste. One of coach Jamion Christian’s three assistant coaches ends his adventure in red and white here, leaving all members of the club with a splendid memory as a person and as a great professional.
These are the words of GM Michael Arcieri to greet coach Carretto:
“It is with mixed feelings that we announce the departure of Assistant Coach Marco Carretto. To be closer to his family in Bologna, Marco will leave Pallacanestro Trieste after having won a championship, made numerous friends, contributed to the growth of the players and created many great memories. Carretto has been able to combine an elite technical knowledge of the game with a communication style that fostered teamwork and cohesion. His contribution to our success this year has been fundamental. We will miss his smile and his warmth every day. We wish him great success as he returns to his beloved Emilia-Romagna.”

As a rookie coach in Europe, I can’t express how much Marco has helped me this season. Through the highs and lows, he has proven to be an extraordinary person, friend, confidant and coach. Overseeing our defense, which has been outstanding in the playoffs, it has been impressive to see him connect with the guys on a daily basis. After 5 seasons at Kleb Basket Ferrara, working alongside coach Spiro Leka in Serie A2, coach Carretto accepted the challenge of trying to bring Trieste back to Serie A, completing the mission together with a very compact technical staff. Now the red and white club wishes Marco a brilliant continuation of his career, thanking him for what he has done in this championship lived together.
