LECCE – The last event for 2024 of the “Classica d’Estate…& Wine” review of the Camerata Musicale Salentina is special. On Sunday 7 July at 8:45 pm the Camerata opens the doors of the Sala Giardino (in Via Lino Suppressa, a side street of Via Petraglione in Lecce) to a very young piano talent, Nicolò Alberini, only thirteen years old! Winner of the Concert Prize awarded by the Camerata at the MusicArte Competition in Tiggiano 2022, Alberini will perform wonderful music by Chopin, Beethoven, Schubert and Liszt.
Born in Ostuni on July 2, 2011, Nicolò Alberini immediately showed his predisposition for music. At the age of five, he began studying piano with Professor Giovanna Vinci and, after only one year of study, he won his First Absolute Prize at the 10th International Music Competition “Terra degli Imperiali” in Francavilla Fontana (Br). This was followed by numerous other First Prizes, in various competitions in various locations throughout Italy. Among these, just to name a few: in 2018 “Euterpe” Competition in Corato (Ba); in 2019 “Pianistico Steinway” Competition in Naples with admission to the national selection; in 2021 finalist at the “Steinway” Competition in Verona; “MusicArte Festival Competition” in Tiggiano (Le) and absolute winner of the 2022 edition; in 2023 “International Music Competition for Young Musicians” in Ceglie Messapica (Br) and overall winner of the edition in the Soloists section. He also passed, at only ten years old, the selection as a pianist in the Magna Grecia Youth Orchestra.
