Massa d’Albe City Council, the minority: “Mayor admitted financial damage”

Massa d’Albe – We received and publish a press release from the minority councilors of the Municipality of Massa d’Albe Gianni Mancini, Antonio Mastrangelo and Giovanni Ceglie.

“Everything happened – they write – during the last City Council of Massa D’Albe, held last Thursday, June 27. Refusal to make recordings, lack of answers to questions and last-minute withdrawal of the proposed resolutions with excuses that were embarrassing to say the least, including “proposal uploaded by mistake” or “lack of regulatory references” (therefore in fact unloading on the offices), were just some of the lowest moments of the session.

The height of this embarrassment was reached precisely during the discussion of one of the questions we presented when the Mayor admitted the damage to the treasury in reference to the use of municipal personnel (specifically workers hired through work grants financed by the Mountain Community) for the maintenance of greenery on areas given to private management, the care of which is the responsibility of the private individual himself. And the Mayor deliberately admitted the damage to the treasury.

But beyond the financial damage, we wonder, if those workers had been hurt during those improper activities? Who would have covered them? Who would have compensated them? By way of justification, the Mayor said he was now committed to compensating the Authority. What does that mean? That if we had not presented the question on the matter, everything would have been overlooked and we would have continued in this direction? As we raised at the end of our speech. Naturally without receiving an answer.

For this and a thousand other reasons we continue to loudly call for the resignation of the First Citizen, who to save a little dignity should simply step aside”.
