Serie A Elite: Rovigo announces arrival from South Africa

Rovigo has made official the arrival of Ethan Fisher, a South African centre-back born in 2001 who arrives from the Currie Cup team Pumas.

Fisher, who also played for the Sharks’ Currie Cup side, was a near-certainty signing ahead of the 2024/25 Elite Men’s A-League season.

There had already been a lot of talk about him in the past few weeks, after the end of the championship, and his move to the red and blues had been somehow revealed by some messages from his mother on social networks, which had announced his arrival in Italy to play on the Battaglini pitch.

Fisher is therefore the first purchase to be made official by the Venetian team, a quick and physical player, who will reinforce a line also looking for a playmaker in view of next season.
