A ride that began in September 2023 that saw the Bisceglie team active on multiple fronts. First of all the championships of series C2, D1, D2 and women’s series C, with the conquest of promotion to the national series C1.
The Dolmen Table Tennis team participated in the regional championships of Foggia, winning 2nd place with Davide Troilo in the fourth category and 3rd place with Pasquale Di Ceglie in the third category. Great results also from the regional tournaments where all the registered athletes from Bisceglie earned qualifications for the Italian championships in their category. Tournaments embellished by the three medals of Matilde Ingravalle, two silvers and a bronze, won in Molfetta, Conversano and Casarano.
And then between November and January, in Martina Franca, the regional tournaments for the qualifications for the Italian Youth Championships with the gold and bronze of Matilde Ingravalle (under 17), the two silvers of Davide Troilo (under 19), the gold and silver of Luigi Antonio Amati (under 19), the silver and bronze of Anita Dell’Olio (under 13), the two bronzes of Daniele Garofoli (under 15) and Pasquale Di Ceglie (under 17), the bronze of Corrado Palumbo (under 19).
Following the Open Tournaments of San Nicola La Strada, in Campania, in September, December and May with excellent placings. And the Open Tournament of Foggia with encouraging results and the bronze in the doubles of the brothers Corrado and Francesco Palumbo. And again in Terni for the National Youth Tournaments of Terni in January, the Italian Under 19 Team Championships in March and Under 17 in April with the bronze of Matilde Ingravalle in the women’s doubles with Giulia Varveri of Ennio Cristofaro of Casamassima.
The peak of the competitive season was the victory in Lecce of the Regional Italian Cup and the pass for the Italian Cup played in Riccione on June 9 with a good 9th place among the twenty regional teams. Here the bronze of Matilde Ingravalle in the Italian Championships of the fourth category, won in a tournament with almost 100 athletes from all over Italy. And then the first position among the 15 participating Apulian companies and the 21st place among the 164 participating Italian companies. The last appointment of the season was the Regional Women’s Tournament Coni Trophy under 14 with the third place of Anita Dell’Olio.
“We have traveled far and wide across Italy, covering almost 10,000 kilometers. Our boys have played about 950 matches with over 1000 hours of training. We coaches have accompanied and followed the boys in every match, studying and analyzing the images of each match to correct and improve movements and technical gestures” said Girolamo Dell’Olio, technical manager of Tennis Tavolo Dolmen.
The Bisceglie-based company has also worked hard to create projects dedicated to children with initiatives in schools and parishes that have involved almost 500 boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 10.
