The sixth edition of the Unvs Walking Football Championship ended on the fields of the Martini stadium in Viareggio. A feat for the team also composed of former players of the Pisa Sporting Club in a tournament that pitted twenty-two teams against each other divided into Over 50 (10), Over 60 (9) and Over 67 (3) and that on Saturday and Sunday morning gave life to 46 matches albeit with reduced minutes. In the Over 50 category, the success of the former Pisans, under the banner of the Unvs of Pisa with a clean run. First in its group and first in the final group where it beat with the same score of 3 to 0 the teams of Bassa Romagna and Biella classified in second and third place, the Pisans scored a total of seven goals without conceding a single one, confirming the quality of this team captained by Gerry Cavallo. In addition to him, the team also included Davide Balestri, Lido Malasoma, Pierluigi Ficini, Marcello Russo, Fabrizio Tellini, Fabrizio Cini, Roberto Lucchesini and, between the posts, Nicola Dorta.
The Pisan section of the Veterans of Sport also participated in the Over 60 category but the defection of some elements prevented them from expressing themselves at their best, ranking seventh. This category was the prerogative of the Bassano section while the teams from Novara, who came in second, and Turin, who came in third, also climbed onto the podium. For the first time, the Over 67 category was included with the affirmation of the Biella section over Cecina and Novara.

We are a close-knit group that likes to have fun and walking football is a discipline that allows all of us to continue to cultivate this passion for a healthy sport and that allows all ages to take to the field. We will continue on this path also in the next tournaments and stages”.
