The first show was held on Sunday 30th June at the Giuseppetti theatre end of course, organized by the Hub Dance Studio school in Tivoli. Two hours flew away without realizing it, during which the spectators were immersed in different atmospheres, being involved in stories, taken from some masterpieces of international and Italian cinematography, thanks to well-choreographed ballets, which told them.
The curtain opened with Mary Poppins, the ever-present chimney sweep Bert and little dancers who, with their commitment and study, filled the stage with dance steps harmonized with the music of some songs from the film.
Following “Joker”, “Harry Potter”, “Titanic”, “High School Musical” and “There’s Still Tomorrow”. The school availed itself of the collaboration of some actors who made sure that a perfect mix was created between the spoken and the danced part, making the spectator experience many emotions. Numerous and very good dancers performed, each in their own dance style (hip hop, modern, classical, break dance). The choice of pieces, so heterogeneous among themselves, allowed each spectator to relive their own memories and emotions as well as reflect on some social themes linked to each of the chosen works such as, for example, marginalization (Joker) or women’s emancipation (There is still tomorrow).
The realization of such such an engaging, exciting, cheerful and at times even moving show, it was possible thanks to three young fellow citizens who, in a time of employment crisis like the one we are going through, have decided to bet on their own future by launching into an adventure, perhaps bigger than them, opening in September last year, in Tivoli, la HUB DANCE STUDIO.
That is how Chiara, Francesca and Veronica, even though with previous experience in dance, but without any entrepreneurial experience, working with passion, professionalism, tenacity and enthusiasm, in nine months, and with the valid collaboration of other teachers, they succeeded to bring on stage a truly surprising show, to give emotions and, a ….. fill a theater.
Did they win the bet? The conditions are there!
