From Lissone to Monza to the institutional hub. Just a pedal stroke away

From Lissone to Monza to the institutional hub. Just a pedal stroke away

A variation, the one recently approved by the City Council, that does not change the guidelines of this council. There is a lot of focus on green and sustainability, in all its forms and facets. A significant investment of almost 1 million euros of ministerial money, awarded through a tender, will go into a project in collaboration with the Municipality of Lissone for the cycle path connection between the Lissone Giotto district and Viale Elvezia, up to the institutional hub of Via Grigna.

Another 726 thousand euros will be allocated to the cycle/pedestrian path that will connect the Esselunga on Viale Libertà to the neighborhood of the same name, with a modern connecting infrastructure that will bypass Viale Stucchi. Another non-negligible investment is the additional 300 thousand euros for the Sus (Sustainable Urban Strategies) of San Rocco, the ambitious Pnrr project approved by the former Allevi council, which includes more than 14 million euros of interventions for the renovation of the Omero, Pertini, Zara and Nazario Sauro schools in San Rocco (of the Ic Koiné), and a whole series of “green actions” through the regeneration of the open spaces of the neighborhood and the creation of cycling and pedestrian mobility infrastructures (for an investment of 2,436 million euros). It will be a small revolution in urban mobility, with interventions that will affect the Zara-Toniolo route (with traffic moderation); via Caravaggio (which will become a school road); the Aquileia-Carnia route (with the redevelopment of existing routes and intersections); via Paisiello (with a new cycle path); the Nazario Sauro-San Rocco route (with traffic calming); via Nazario Sauro (with a cycle/pedestrian path); and via Omero (which will be a school road). Another long-awaited improvement (of 1 million and 400 thousand euros) will concern the sidewalks of two of the major roads in Monza: via Romagna and via Buonarroti. Both have trees that impede the passage of pedestrians and ruin the infrastructure, so a whole series of interventions similar to those on the sidewalks of the Esselunga in via Buonarroti will be carried out, with the elimination of architectural barriers and the fixing of the numerous uneven sections due to particularly cumbersome roots. As for the 450 thousand euros of photovoltaic planned for schools, the intervention at the Ardigò middle school is confirmed, and other systems could be mounted on the roofs of the Buonarroti, De Amicis, Rubinowicz, Tacoli elementary schools and the Cazzaniga nursery school. Lastly, for urban decorum, a redevelopment intervention is planned for the Nei gardens, in the name of care and biodiversity (with a project yet to be defined).
