Tomorrow the first Agorà of Tranensis with Rino Negrogno

The first appointment on July 3rd will feature the writer Rino Negrogno, with a dive into fantasy set in Trani, in a novel, “L’inconsistenza dei giorni”, which has enthralled readers throughout Italy and which is being re-proposed in its genesis and dynamics by the author himself. The readings will be curated by Stefania De Toma who in turn will animate the agora on July 10th with “Non c’era la nostra luna”: the story of Rocco Scotellaro, a poet and politician from Basilicata, “a figure that all the new generations should know, he who was the youngest mayor in Italy, who fought for the rights of the last, and who remained immortal through his example of life transfigured into a sublime poetry still too little known: he died young, “like heroes and demigods”. With Stefania De Toma will be the actor Michele Lattanzio. The Agora will close on July 17th with Professor Trifone Gargano with his latest work, “Uno, nessuno, centomila selfie” with which he celebrates the double Pirandello event of 2024 (ninety years since the Nobel Prize and one hundred and twenty since the first publication of Il fu Mattia Pascal), suggesting reading paths focused on the expressive paradigm of today’s social networks (tweets, posts and selfies). A common thread between the three appointments in which it will be demonstrated how literature has always been and is always ready to invent parallel worlds, but also to acquire a role of action and vitality.

Three years of the cultural association Tranensis, third edition of the Agorà, organized outdoors, in the summer, in Trani. After the Villa Comunale and after the Teatro Open Air, with a view to involving different places in the city, the meetings will take place in Colonna, in the small amphitheater in Piazza marinai d’Italia.
