BARI – The Department of Education and Youth Policies of the Municipality of Bari announces that it is available, at this link, the ranking relating to the notice aimed at collecting project proposals to be included in the municipal list of Summer Centers 2024.
All 39 promoters present in the ranking are now admitted and eligible for funding, thanks to the resolution, approved last June 11 by the council, to remodel the programming of interventions of the POC Metro 2014-20 with which another 300 thousand euros were added to the 350 thousand euros initially allocated last April, always under the POC Metro (measure POC_BA_I.3.1.c “Summer centers 2024”).
This additional allocation, which brought the financial endowment available for the intervention to a total of 650 thousand euros, was approved pending the outcome of the notice from the Department of Family Policies dedicated to the Municipalities interested in accessing the funding provided for the operation of the Summer Centers for Minors.

“For the fifth consecutive year now, with this notice we are supporting summer activities aimed at children and young people in our city, coming from fragile families or with disabilities – comments the Councilor for Educational and Youth Policies Paula Romano -. This year we have chosen to support all the proposals that have arrived and that have been deemed admissible, precisely because we believe that this measure represents important support: both for children and their educational activity, and for the work-life balance needs of families”.
In line with previous years, the notice is, in fact, aimed at supporting work-life balance, with particular attention to the most vulnerable families in the city of Bari, and the daytime management of minor children between the ages of 3 and 17, encouraging their attendance at daytime summer courses and activities.
To support the implementation of summer activities, the Municipality has accepted requests for registration in the municipal list of Summer Centers of the City of Bari, recognizing the promoters financial support, in the form of a contribution, to guarantee a certain number of places to be allocated to minors. The procedure provides for a maximum amount that can be paid to each subject proposing Summer Center activities equal to 15 thousand euros.
Beneficiaries of the intervention are minors, in the age group 3-17, resident in the Municipality of Bari, belonging to families with a valid ISEE income equal to or less than 25 thousand euros. The ISEE income threshold does not apply in the case of members with disabilities.
