Florence, 1 July 2024 – The Civil Protection Operations Room of the Tuscany region has issued a new yellow alert for storm risk. The affected areas are the internal and coastal ones: the measure is effective from today, July 1st, until 8am tomorrow.

The areas affected are the entire coastal strip starting from Versilia (including adjacent internal areas), north-eastern Apennine areas and Valtiberina. From this afternoon and throughout the day tomorrow, increased instability with possible scattered thunderstorms. The phenomena locally and temporarily could be of strong intensity, in particular on the coastal strip, the Florentine and Arezzo Apennines between this evening and tomorrow morning. Other storms possible this afternoon in the central south, and in the central hours of tomorrow in the north west.
