Grosseto: After a week’s break, the presentations at the QB bookshop in Piazza Pacciardi in Grosseto begin again. Tomorrow, Tuesday 2 July at 6:30 pm Velio Abati presents his book “Escapes” published by Manni. Mario Fraschetti will accompany him. There will also be a performance with the students of the Teatro Studio Vincenzo Zotti, Irina Sansone, Rossella Crisà entitled “Yalla – Ulivi di Palestina” taken from the book.

Velio Abati’s writing is born from the alarm of the present, giving life to stories, figures, meditations.

Every escape renews its energy against the dullness, violence, and confusion of today, in view of a horizon of meaning of the self and of the world to be reconquered, always starting from the harsh concreteness of existence.

In the foreground are friendships, civic and intellectual commitment, teaching, beloved literature, communication, the landscape, manual labor.

The form of the work and its style invite philosophical, moral, linguistic and aesthetic reflection.

But the week continues on Wednesday with a meeting dedicated to tarot cards again at 6:30 pm with Manuela Cini and on Thursday 4 July an illustrated book: “Il demone della montagna nera” with drawings by Chiara Di Vivona and the story narrated by Mario Fraschetti. The presentation will be introduced by Velio Abati.

Two more presentations are scheduled at the Giardino degli Arcieri during Cinemura from July 4 to 7: on July 5 at 9 pm before the screening, the director Sandro Baldoni will talk about his book “Occhi selvaggi”, while on July 6, again at 9 pm, the actor Massimo De Lorenzo, one of the “fake” screenwriters of the TV series “Boris”, will present “Tante care cose”.
