In Terni, prevention does not go on holiday – La Voce del Territorio Umbria

Free eye checks in summer

Until August 10th Uici Terni will carry out an information and awareness campaign, also through the distribution of information materials and gadgets in various locations in the province with advice on how to face the summer while preserving your health and eyesight.

The “Prevention doesn’t go on holiday” initiative is promoted and supported by the Italian section of the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness – IAPB Italia Onlus, in collaboration with the Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired.

Thanks to the work carried out in synergy with the Pro Loco of Piediluco, Marmore, Arrone and Castel dell’Aquila, attentive to the theme of prevention, Uici will be present at various initiatives with information material: “Festa delle Acque” in Piediluco, “Castellando” in Castel dell’Aquila, “Industrial and vernacular archaeology” in Marmore.

During the initiative, it is possible to book a free orthoptic check-up – aimed at children aged between 3 and 11 – thanks to the collaboration of orthoptist Maria Carlotta Busatti and the supervision of ophthalmologist Marco Ilari.

Check-ups on Thursday 18 July at the Spazio Libero Capitone social centre, Tuesday 23 July at the Pro Loco di Marmore premises and Tuesday 16 July at premises made available by the Pro Loco di Arrone.
