New Director of the Flying Squad, the Deputy Police Commissioner Dr. Elvio Barbatioriginally from Avellino, born in 1979, after obtaining a degree in Law, the qualification to practice the legal profession, as well as the diploma of
specialization for the legal professions and the II level Master’s Diploma in “Security Sciences”, he joined the Police in 2008 by attending the 99th Commissioners course. Coming from the Genoa Police Headquarters, he was employed by the Central Operational Service of the Central Anti-Crime Directorate of Rome; in his career he has gained extensive experience in the field of Judicial Police, furthermore in 2016 and 2017 he was part of the Interagency Working Group on Organized Crime.
At the same time, the Chief Commissioner Dr. Gianluca Vesce assumed the Deputy Management of the Flying Squad. Originally from Benevento, born in 1990, he attended the Higher Police School, obtained a Master’s Degree in Law, a II level Master’s Degree in Security Sciences, and the qualification to practice the legal profession. Coming from the Isernia Police Headquarters where he directed the Flying Squad, he previously held the position of Director of DIGOS and Deputy Chief of Staff of the Asti Police Headquarters.
Cabinet Office Officer, Deputy Police Commissioner Dr Lara Cianciulliborn in 1981, originally from Avellino, after having obtained a degree in Law and the qualification to practice the legal profession as well as the
Diploma of Specialization for legal professions, she joined the Police in 2010 by attending the 101st Commissioners course and also obtaining the Diploma of the II level Master in “Security Sciences”. During her career she held the position of Director of the Immigration Office and Deputy Director of the PASI Division of the Imperia Police Headquarters, Head of the Judicial Police Sector at the Public Security Inspectorate
Vatican. Since 2018 you have moved to the Central Anti-Crime Directorate of Rome and you have held numerous positions.
There has also been a change at the top of the Salerno Highway Police Section: Deputy Police Commissioner Dr. Stefano Macarra he has been the new Manager since June 10th. Born in 68, originally from the province of Rome, graduated in Law, he joined the Police in 1987 and since 1999 has gained specific technical skills in the Traffic Police, a specialty of the State Police which mainly deals with the strategic sector of control and regulation of road mobility. During his professional career he directed the Traffic Police Sections of Isernia and Rieti, the Motorway Operations Center of Fiano Romano and the Traffic Police Section of Frosinone, where he comes from.
