It was the fateful night sung by Antonello Venditti in a song that has become an intergenerational anthem, the one just passed, for the 2,580 students from Viterbo who reached the finishing line of high school diploma: 2,469 internal and 111 external.
2,500 under examination from today
Today will be the key day. It is in fact the day of the first written Italian test, the most awaited and the most feared. The tracks are common to all addresses and are seven in total, divided into three different types: two text analyses, three argumentative text tracks and two current affairs topics. As always in recent days, on and off the internet, the tototopic has raged (from Ungaretti to Matteotti on the centenary of the crime), with predictions destined to be proven wrong.
Two gifted students complete their high school diploma a year early
Curiosity: among the 2,500 students graduating this year there are also two particularly deserving students who were given the opportunity to take the exam one year early. There are 137 classes involved, distributed across 43 exam centers located throughout the provincial territory. There are a total of 69 commissions evaluating the tests, made up of 3 internal and 3 external teachers in addition to the presidents. A good portion of the latter are school directors from various institutes in the province.
Commissioners give lump sums
For the regional school office, Monday and yesterday were already field days due to the numerous lump sums by commissioners who withdrew, due to illness or other impediment, at the last minute. Finding substitutes, especially for some competitive classes such as language ones, is an almost difficult task. So much so that in some cases it was necessary to resort to commissioners from other provinces.
