Olbia. The representation room of the Municipality of Tempio will host the presentation of on Friday 7 June at 6pm Ritual songthe collection of poems by Maria Carta translated into Sardinian by Clara Farina. The volume was published last year by Maria Carta Foundation in collaboration with New Sardinia. He will intervene Bachisio Bandinu. Already in 2006, with the aim of rediscovering and promoting the cultural heritage left by Maria Carta, the Foundation named after her had promoted the first editorial initiative to reprint Ritual chanta work originally published by the Roman publishing house Coines way back in 1975. More recently, a selection of the compositions has been translated into Spanish by Alessandra Sannanephew of Maria Carta, and included in the publishing house catalogue Valparaiso. «It thus seemed natural to proceed with the translation into Sardinian of part of the artist’s poems Siligo – they say from the Foundation -. A necessary operation for the Maria Carta Foundation, which for years has supported the importance of keeping the language of our ancestors alive, entrusted in this case to the actress, teacher and poet Clara Farina. It is she herself who in the introductory notes asks herself how Maria Carta would have reacted reading her work in the same language as her ancestors. We already have an answer: you declared several times that you «”think in Sardinian and translate into Italian”».
