“An international, modern, civilized and tourism-oriented city like Viareggio must definitely do much more and much better to inclusion. In the tenth city of Tuscany there are only three roads that can be used regularly by those who unfortunately have limited mobility. These are the viale a mare (pedestrian promenade) and via Battisti, which allow those confined to wheelchairs to cross the city from north to south and vice versa; of Via Leonardo da Vinci, which allows disabled people to reach the seaside avenues from the station; finally of a stretch of via Garibaldi, which follows the same route. This is where the overcoming of architectural barriers in Viareggio ends. A very serious thing.” This was declared in a joint note by the coordinator of Fratelli d’Italia di Viareggio Marco Dondolini and the deputy group leader in the Region of Giorgia Meloni’s party Vittorio Fantozzi.

“For this reason we asked for a commitment to Francesco Torselli – continue Dondolini and Fantozzi – once elected to the European Parliament, to find funding for a project that brings Viareggio to finally become a city without barriers. The current group leader of the Brothers of Italy in the regional council of Tuscany stated that will do everything possible to find the necessary funds and underlined that the battle for the inclusion of the most disadvantaged people will be a priority objective of the desired centre-right majority in the European Parliament”,
