The “Say it on the roofs” network discussed the anthropological refoundation against the throwaway culture in Rome.

ROME – Yesterday afternoon, Thursday 23 May, at the headquarters of the European Parliament Representation in Rome, the “Say it on the roofs” network presented theAgenda for Europe.

Anthropological refoundation, green deal, demographic restart

The new Europe, after 9 June, is based on an anthropological re-foundation, which connects life and vitality, betting on the “whole man” (Wojtyla). This the leitmotif which resonated in the Roman presentation addressed to the associations of the “Say it on the roofs” network, edited by Dominic Menorello (network coordinator), Benedetto Delle Site (president of Ucid youth) e Maurizio Sacconi (former Minister of Labor and Social Policies).

According to former minister Sacconi, this is the moment to propose a sort of European re-foundation, which places the common thread existing between life and vitality. “The green deal it needs to be re-founded – he observed – because it is based on the human factor considered to be a polluting factor”.

Benedetto Delle Site emphasized the anthropological question as the main key to deciphering the near future. “Recently it has even been believed that agriculture should be sacrificed to save nature, while for the production of cars it is not taken into account that many elements are produced in some parts of the world where child labor is exploited in an unacceptable way. We are also concerned about the impact of this green deal on small and medium-sized enterprises and we ask for the revision of the 2030 agenda in the points where it wants to impose reproductive health with a clear ideological anti-life matrix”.

“We don’t want to sabotage anything but only build a virtuous and dialogue path with everyone so that we can discuss the concept of man implied by the main European policies – underlined the lawyer. Domenico Menorello, coordinator of the Sui Tetti network. – For this reason we have tried to raise the flag of the European agenda for a conception of the always absolute value of life, which declines a precise series of perspectives such as demographic restart, the protection of all existence, the valorization of the function of the family natural, the priority of the person in comparison with machines”.

At the opening of the event, a specific message also arrived from the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloniwho thanked the associations for being a “goad” for politics.

Abortion, dignity of women, Mattei plan

Also at the speakers’ table Emanuele Di Leo (President of Steadfast operator in Nigeria), Nicola Procaccini (co-president of European Conservatives and Reformists), Maurizio Gasparri (president of the Forza Italia group in the Senate of the European People’s Party) e Simona Baldassarre (Department of family and life of the League of Identity and Democracy).

The Hon. Procaccini observed that the years we have behind us have been characterized by the harshest opposition to an integral conception of humanity. “We are witnessing a French drift – she explained – we cannot recognize abortion as one of the elements that give meaning to the European Union. Furthermore, even the most noble battles cannot be manipulated as in the Istanbul convention, which was supposed to be in defense of women and which was intended to be transformed into a hymn to gender ideology. We cannot ignore that all European cultural categories are at the origin of classical and Christian history. If you erase this compass, you make decisions that orient you in the wrong way. We need to relearn how to deal with all of reality by perceiving a broader meaning. And so in our ecology the blade of grass becomes important and therefore the human is even more important. We want it to be less difficult to defend and pursue the objectives of the Tell It on the Roofs Agenda in the next legislature. Being conservative does not mean depending on what has been, but living on what is eternal.”

For Simona Baldassarre, head of the League’s Family Department, “a real defense of the dignity of women is needed when the very term woman has become difficult to pronounce, in this sense it will be fundamental to wage a clear battle against surrogacy”.

Finally, after Maurizio Gasparri’s greeting, Emanuele Di Leo observed that the “Mattei plan must be a paradigm for immigration policies throughout Europe”.

The meeting was held in the presence, physically or electronically, of various MEP candidatesincluding Silvia Bolla, Carlo Fidanza, Elena Donazzan, Eliseo Iannini, Piergiacomo Sibiano, Stefano Cavedagna, Nicola Di Matteo, Antonella Sberna, Maddalena Morgante and Susanna Ceccardi, some of whom intervened bringing their greetings to all those present.
