Stop trains between Gallarate and Laveno for a month, in August: no trains will pass on the route from 4 August to 1 Septemberfor the construction of a priority track for adaptation to module 750 of the Ternate-Varano Borghi station.

A economic investment of 3 million euros, which will also be accompanied by the contemporary intervention of structural consolidation of the Besozzo viaduct, for a value of 1.3 million euros.

The works will involve the stoppage of the regional Trenord Luino-Gallarate(-Milan) and the Tilo S30 Cadenazzo–Luino–Gallarate trains.

The construction site is part of the various interventions of the Italian Railway Network (lead company of the Infrastructure Hub of the FS Italiane Group, which will serve to raise the punctuality, regularity and reliability indices of the lines as well as to improve the performance of the lines and can only be carried out by interrupting the movement of trains.

In addition to the stop on the Gallarate-Luino line, we would like to remind you that an important and long construction site is also planned on the Sempione railway, Domodossola-Gallarate line: from 9 June to 8 September traffic will be interrupted between Arona and Premosello for works to adapt the shape of the tunnels and for the implementation of the ERTMS/ETCS L2 system. In the same period, single track traffic between Arona and Sesto Calende for work on the metal girder of the bridge over the Ticino. The economic investment is particularly important: 93 million euros.

From 9 June the trains will be stopped for three months on Lake Maggiore between Arona and Stresa
