Mourning in the world of journalism in Umbria. Mario Mariano passed away at the age of 79. A life for journalism, sport but not only.
The Order of Journalists of Umbria is close to Mario’s family in the memory of a colleague who will be missed by all, underlining the fact that Mario followed the Perugia dei Miracoli, collaborated for Tuttosport, la Stampa, Il Corriere della Sera, the Regional Tgr, Il Giornale dell’Umbria, Umbria 24.
In recent years he wrote a Sunday column in the regional edition of Il Messaggero.
He was press officer of the Perugia hospital company. There was no television program that talked about Perugia that he did not participate in or host or create. He wrote a book about Perugia, with his great friend Lamberto Sposini.
In fact, he passionately recounted the Perugia of Ilario Castagner’s miracles, but also the world of women’s volleyball at the time of Serie A and the championships.

He had also recently animated and organized the Meetings at Santa Giuliana, an initiative held at the Army School of Foreign Languages.
The funeral will take place tomorrow, Saturday 25 May at 9am at the parish church of San Raffaele Arcangelo, in Perugia.

The condolences of the editorial staff of the newspaperdellumbria.it go to the family
