Vegan aperitif in support of the new project by Lucca-born director Simone Arrighi

It will be held on Wednesday (May 29) at San Salvatore barrackson the city walls of Lucca, the vegan aperitif to support the fundraiser linked to Maternal Bondthe new short film directed by the Lucca native Simone Arrighi and which will deal with very current issues such as the correlation between gender violence and animal abuse.

The short film, whose fundraiser is located at this address, will be filmed at Colognora from Pescaglia and in some areas of Garfagnana. The vegan event, which will start at 8pm, will serve to raise funds for the project and the short film will be screened during the evening The carousel, shot in Lucca by Simone Arrighi and which delicately deals with the dramatic Alzheimer’s disease. This charity and solidarity initiative serves to support independent cinema, uniting common interests together with the community sensitive to the topic covered.

The project sees the support of Municipality of Pescaglia and associations Carpe Diem from Colognora di PescagliaAlap – Lucchese Art and Psychology Association, Archimede – Cultural association for social promotion, G. Salvemini Association and Lucchese Medical and Surgical Society.

Arrighi, in his new short film, will therefore address the strong bond between a mother, a victim of domestic violence, and her son, an innocent witness to that violence. It is a short film that also talks about salvation, rebirth, and which gives voice to all those animals forced to suffer man’s mistreatment and exploitation, in particular dairy cattle.
