Just a few days ago I exchanged a message with Mario and I never thought it would be our last. Our acquaintance with him dates back many years and had deepened during his appreciated activity as press officer at the Perugia Hospital. Mario was a man from another era, with thoughts and behaviors that never went beyond the correctness of human and professional relationships. He had a very dense network of relationships and acquaintances in the Perugian and Umbrian environment, but also beyond, many developed following the Perugia of miracles, which Mario followed closely for the newspapers for which he wrote. Over time, he continued to tell his stories and his characters with columns and meetings in Santa Giuliana, Perugia. He also never stopped following Perugia football, of which up until the end he constituted one of the richest sources of narration of history and anecdotes, the last one just yesterday, on his Facebook page, in which he remembered the magazine “Offside” that in the years of Perugia of miracles created and animated the Grifo players.

Mario’s funeral will take place on Saturday 25th, at 9 am, at the Church of San Raffaele in Madonna Alta, the neighborhood where Mario lived. Before the funeral, from tomorrow it will be possible to pay a final farewell to Mario at the IFA Passeri funeral home in San Sisto.

The editorial staff of Agenzia Stampa Italia, Umbria Notizie Web and Tifogrifo, with whom Mario had collaborated on numerous occasions, remember him with affection and esteem and join in the family’s condolences.
