Ancona23 May 2024 – On Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 May, within the Tipicità in Blu initiative, aimed at enhancing the cultural excellence of the Marche coastal area, the event took place Blue Toura pleasant walk to rediscover the beauty of the city of Ancona in its transformations, through the voices of characters who have characterized its history and culture.

The students of the fourth class of the Tourism course of the Institute of Higher Education made the experience even more engaging and authentic for the visitors Savoy Benincasa of Ancona.

During the weekend, numerous groups of tourists and booked visitors had the opportunity to discover the historical and cultural heritage of the Ancient Port of Ancona, to learn about its roots, curiosities in a fascinating tour through the most significant places and thanks to the skills acquired by high school students. On the mornings of Friday 17th and Saturday 18th, the children also welcomed various groups of school children for a cultural tour dedicated to them. Specifically, on Friday 17 May they led 4 classes (3 third and 1 fourth) of the De Amicis primary school (total 72 students) and on Saturday 18 May 2 classes (1 fourth and 1 fifth) of the Mercantini primary school (total 36 students).

The municipal councilor for education Antonella Andreoli expressed his appreciation for the initiative, «a virtuous example of active citizenship, which featured the students of Savoia Benincasa and the pupils of the De Amicis and Mercantini primary schools».

«These guys – said the councilor – they had the opportunity to feel an integral part of the city and the urban fabric, sharing its history and most significant spaces. The experience they have lived represents an added value in educational and cultural terms”.

«This field experience allowed them to put the theoretical knowledge acquired into practice, developing transversal skills related to communication skills, public speaking and problem solving essential for their professional future in the tourism sector».
