23 MAY – In Lombardy, the rates of additional services for staff belonging to the healthcare professions in the sector (nurses, radiology technicians, laboratory technicians, etc.) are increasing with the aim of reducing waiting lists by ensuring adequate recognition for employees. The Region announced it in a note.

The document, “awaited with great interest by both parties”, exploits the possibility provided by the 2024 budget law to raise the tariffs of additional services. Methods and criteria have been identified for the recognition of additional services and the increase in the hourly rate, which, net of the charges borne by companies and organisations, has been set for 2024 at 50 euros per hour for all types of services .

A further objective of the document is the standardization of tariffs in all companies and bodies of the Lombardy social and healthcare service.

“Thanks to these guidelines – concludes the note -, healthcare facilities will be able to continue planning operational plans to reduce waiting lists and ensure the continuity of healthcare services”.
