Ban on bullying and gender violence: a meeting in Grosseto to raise awareness among young people – Grosseto

A morning dedicated to discussion on gender violence And bullying saw the participation of students and local representatives at the round table “No bully: courage is the voice of young people”.

The event, promoted by Cisl Grosseto together with Cisl training study centerThe Disp (Department of Political and International Sciences of Siena) and the Grosseto university center foundationbrought together several key figures from the community to address crucial issues for young people.

Even this year – has explained Katiuscia Biliottigeneral secretary of Ust Cisl Grosseto – we wanted to re-propose – in collaboration with the University of Siena, the CISL Training Study Center and the Grosseto University Center Foundation, through a peer educator project, a fundamental point of the 2030 agenda, namely gender inequality. This is because today more than ever it seems like a hot topic due to the events that have unfortunately shocked us in recent times and with this round table we wanted to interact with the students to understand their sensitivity and their thoughts on the matter. The subjects of our territory, primarily the trade union organizations, have the duty to try to better understand what to do to prevent youth discomfort and also any possible dangers”.

The event was held in the great hall of the Grosseto University Center Foundation and saw the participation of the IIIAtg, IIIBtg, IVAtg and IIIB classes of the Bianciardi Center and the IVH of the Grosseto Scientific High School. Among the participants, in addition to the general secretary of Ust Cisl Grosseto, Katiuscia Biliotti, who opened the proceedings, there were also Daniela Fumarola, deputy national general secretary of Cisl, Mattia Pirulli, regent of Usr Cisl Tuscany, Valentino Visconti, vice-president of the Province of Grosseto, Margherita Procopio, deputy director of the Anti-Crime Division of the Grosseto Police Headquarters, Nicoletta Farmeschi of the Superintendency, Alessandra Viviani, professor of the Department of International Political Sciences at Unisi, Marco Lai, director of the CISL Study Centre, Gabriele Marini, Superintendent of Studies, Ettore Innocenti, trainer of the CISL Study Center, and the tutors Ilenia Costa and Franco Ferrari.

The students of the Grosseto middle schools actively participated, presenting papers on bullying and gender violence, showing great collaboration.

This meeting – concluded Biliotti – it is the continuation of what we started last year and what we want to continue doing, because collaboration with students and making them feel like protagonists is essential to truly try to solve the problem of youth hardship. Now we must immediately start working, strengthened by the work done so far, on next year’s projects. I would like to give special thanks to the principals and teachers who believed in the project”.
