BPPB members’ meeting approves budget

On Saturday 18 May, at the San Giorgio Fair in Gravina in Puglia, the Shareholders’ Meeting of the Banca Popolare di Puglia e Basilicata was held which approved the 2023 financial statements with a net profit of 32.4 million euros ( +45.4% compared to 2022), the best result ever. A result accompanied by the Bank’s ability to generate value for all stakeholders.

In a complex macroeconomic scenario, BPPB continues and strengthens its development action in the area, confirming the correctness of the strategic choices made, focusing increasingly on efficiency, professionalism and customer satisfaction. Overall collection exceeded 7 billion euros, total loans stood at 4 billion euros. The capital ratios, including the calculation of profit for the period, are equal to: CET1 at 16.2% (15.2% in 2022) and TCR at 17.1% (16.2% in 2022). Numbers that underline the capital solidity of the Bank, and the quality of the assets thanks also to the constant prudent management of risks.

During the meeting, all other items on the agenda were also approved. “The meeting represents an important opportunity to meet with our members, during which we can explain the process of building the balance sheet numbers, declares President Leonardo Patroni Griffi. These numbers highlight the joint work of the Governance, of all the Employees and of all the Stakeholders who revolve around the bank. Thanks go to all the Members and Customers who renew their trust in us every day, allowing the Bank to grow for the benefit of the entire community”.
The Assembly also determined the issue and redemption value of the shares for the year 2024, equal to €2.31 and resolved the distribution of a dividend of 10 euro cents per share, to be paid from May 27th. with value on 29 May 2024.
