First the threats from Tancredi Antoniozzi, son of the FdI parliamentarian Alfredo, with the classic “he doesn’t know who I am”, then the attack by two carabinieri, guilty of having stopped him while he was speeding through the streets in a Range Rover Evoque of the center of Rome. In the end Tancredo Antoniozzi, 21 years old, and his friend of the same age Vincenzo Palma, agreed to an 8-month prison sentence after being accused of resistance and injuries. The story dates back to 18 April, when the 21-year-old was stopped by the police in Via Vittorio Emanuele because he was driving “at high speed and with maneuvers that were dangerous for public safety – the military wrote in the report – in particular for the people present”.

The attack on the police

While the two boys showed their documents, Tancredi Antoniozzi tried to make the important relationship weigh: «Tomorrow you will find yourself without a job – the 21-year-old said to the two soldiers as reported by Repubblica – I will have you fired, you don’t know who I am and whose son I am , I am the son of Antoniozzi, the parliamentarian, I will make you come to a bad end, I know the Police Commissioner of Rome.” The friend would also have supported him: “Good, call your father and show him how they lose their jobs, do it immediately and don’t waste time.” Shortly before, the two had also complained: “Instead of stopping whoever broke my glass, break it on us…”. And then the barrage of threats and insults, which degenerated into violence. Palma attacked one of the carabinieri by pushing him to the ground and kicking him. Antoniozzi instead made the other soldier fall.

The brawl in Cortina

Already in 2022 Tancredi Antoniozzi had been involved in an investigation into a fight that took place in Cortina. At the time 18 years old, the boy would have found himself in a group of young Romans who clashed with a group of Trevisos. At the time, the 18-year-old explained to Repubblica that he immediately left when he saw the fight break out: «They say my friends were involved, but that’s not true. As for the thugs, I know what names are being thrown around, but I haven’t seen anything.”
