Hit by a car in front of one of the department stores in via Maremmana Inferiore. A 68-year-old woman, she was hit by a car while she was trying to cross the street at Villa Adriana. The road accident occurred in the early afternoon of yesterday Monday 20 May near the Maury’s hypermarket, a couple of kilometers from the Roma L’Aquila toll booth.

Local police officers will take care of the investigations. The White Helmets ascertained the investment of the woman, who was found to be resident in Tivoli. She was hit by a Toyota Yaris driven by a 62-year-old from Guidonia Montecelio.

The injured passerby was transported in code red by the 118 ambulance to the Umberto I polyclinic in Rome, in serious conditions but, apparently, not in serious danger to her life.

The car involved in the accident was seized by order of the Tivoli prosecutor’s office. And the driver was subjected to ritual alcohol and drug tests which gave negative results.
