Despite the significant investments that hit the area and the state of alarm issued by the Veneto Region (red level), the night in the city passed without any particular problems.
The levels of Retrone (1.66 meters at 8) and Bacchiglione (3.21 meters at 8) are increasing, without causing any concerns at the moment. Even the secondary hydrographic network did not record any new significant critical issues.
From 10pm last night to 8am this morning it rained 30 millimeters in the city (Sant’Agostino), 98 millimeters in Recoaro, 93 millimeters in Valli del Pasubio.
Given the continuation of rainfall, especially at high altitude, the state of alarm remains due to the swelling of the waterways that feed the Bacchiglione, with peak floods expected for the afternoon.
During the night, 4,500 new sandbags were prepared at the civil protection headquarters in via Frescobaldi, ready to be distributed to the eight stations set up in the city.
The Coc remained operational all night and the operations center recorded no reports; no intervention was carried out by the patrols and the two civil protection teams present and still active in the area.
