Serie B: Catanzaro-Brescia LIVE from 8.30pm | Other Italian championships

After Palermo’s 2-0 success over Sampdoria, which promoted the Sicilian team to the first playoff semi-final against Venezia, tonight at the “Ceravolo” (8.30 pm) the other quarter-final takes place which opens the hunt for promotion of the third team from Serie B to Serie A. Catanzaro, who finished the regular season in fourth place, hosts Brescia , fifth, in a straight challenge that will elect Cremonese’s rival in the second semi-final.

THE RULES – Catanzaro starts with the advantage of being able to play on two results, having concluded the championship in a better position and as the playoff regulations contemplate that in the event of a final draw – both within the 90 minutes of regulation and in the further 30 minutes of extra time – the best placed team will move forward.
