Victory: Tari increase, Fratelli d’Italia doesn’t agree

In yesterday’s session of the Ipparino civic assembly there were several points on the agenda, including the increase in the Tari, the “return” of the management of the water service from Iblea Acque to the Municipality and the management report. Sensitive topics on which there was no shortage of comments from the advisors of the Brothers of Italy.

“With such important topics – explains Monia Cannata, Fdi councilor – we witnessed a disheartening spectacle with an anesthetized majority that did not intervene so as not to disturb the “maneuvers”. In this deafening silence, the administration has proposed increasing the Tari by eight percent and this represents a failure for the awareness, communication and repression policies on differentiated issues never launched by the Municipality. It is better to increase the tariff, which must cover the cost of the service, than to implement specific strategies to reduce illegal landfills, to improve collection, to raise citizens’ awareness”.

“We fear that it will not be the only increase and the future is cloudy with a relationship with the company that won the contract worn out by the excesses of the mayor who, as is known, would like to recreate a new Amiu and new carriages. Even on delicate issues such as the management of the water service and on Iblea Acque, the majority was silent without ever going into the merits of what concerns the future of Vittoria and the governance of the public company, as well as the 2023 report which raises many doubts and on which we accessed the documents. We have carried out our task of opposition to protect the people of Vittoria, while someone else who is the crutch of the mayor – such as the Five Star Movement – dissolves at the time of the votes and testifies to the support for this administration in disarray”.
