ANCONA – A month in the arena. Only 3 names left. Two big ones. One more sector-specific. Better than nothing, but still not much for what the programs a few kilometers away offer. The fact is that the arena on the sea, at the ancient port, at least distances itself from the debacle with the UlisseFest: Vasco Brondi on 4 July, Malika Ayane and Skin on 6 July. The Skunk Anansie frontwoman will perform a DJ set. Among other things, she had already been to Ancona and not too far away: as the crow flies, a handful of kilometers away, when in 2010 she went up to the console at Sui, the disco that enlivened the Doric nights in the Marina Dorica area. Now she returns, without her historic band, but again with headphones and a high bpm musical selection to let everyone unleash on the dance floor, as is her custom.

The unknowns

Another proposal for the general public would remain at stake. There are rumors of a couple of big names who are about to sign a contract with a local promoter, but the names of the two artists are still top secret. The performance date would be at the end of July. Then UlisseFest from the 4th to the 6th, the pair of mysterious (but nationally renowned) artists at the end of the month. In the middle the void. It is not yet clear whether the Spilla festival, which for 17 years has always brought names of international importance to the city, is confirmed this year or not. The event usually announced its guests between January and March. It’s mid-May and everything is still quiet. Too much silence around an event of this caliber. A silence so deafening that it doesn’t leave much hope, but until the official announcement from the organizers arrives nothing is lost. And the hope of being able to see the event again in 2024 is widespread among the many fans who in recent years have invaded the Mole Vanvitelliana to attend the live performances of artists such as Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins, Billy Corgan, The Lumineers and many others.

Pre-sales

The ticket price for Vasco Brondi’s concert is 23 euros plus presale fees, Malika Ayane 15 euros plus presale fees. Skin’s DJ set will take place immediately after Malika’s concert, ticket price 15 euros plus presale fees. Tickets are on sale on the Ticketone circuit. On July 5th the arena on the sea will host the Super taranta Night directed by Antonio Castrignanò and Mauro Durante followed by “Febbre a 90” the evening with DJ sets and 90s selections.
