There are 236 Italian seaside and lakeside locations that have obtained the 2024 Blue Flags, ten more than in 2023. In total there are 485 beaches awarded by Foundation for environmental education (Fee), which every year awards recognition to seaside locations and tourist ports that respect sustainable land management. About 11.5% of the blue flags flying around the world go to Italy. To be included in the list, the waters must have been found to be “excellent” in the last four years, based on analyzes by ARPA and its national monitoring programme.
The beaches of the Romans
The ten Roman beaches are confirmed: Blue flags in the province of Rome a Trevignano Romano and Anzio; in the province of Latina a Latina, Sabaudia, San Felice Circeo, Terracina, Fondi, Sperlonga, Gaeta and Minturno.
Argentario, the reconfirmations
