Traffic at a standstill, 7 kilometer queue

Traffic at a standstill on the A14 motorway due to an accident that occurred shortly after 3pm between Faenza and Imola, towards Bologna. Two heavy vehicles and three cars collided at km 53 in a rear-end collision. The 118 emergency services, the fire brigade, the traffic police patrols and the staff of the third section of Bologna management of Autostrade per l’Italia rushed to the scene.

Due to the accident, approximately 7 kilometers of traffic jams were created, with repercussions also on the D14-Branch to Ravenna, where there were up to three kilometers of traffic jams between Ravenna and the junction with the A14 towards the A14. The restoration operations and legal findings ended around 4.30 pm.

Users coming from Ancona and heading towards Bologna are advised to exit at Faenza, take the SS9 via Emilia and return to the motorway at Imola. Users coming from Ravenna and heading towards Bologna are advised to exit at Cotignola, take ordinary roads and re-enter the motorway at Imola.
