Somma Vesuviana, student of Liceo Torricelli wins the “Campania Europa Prize 2024”

Somma Vesuviana. New important recognition for the E. Torricelli classical-scientific high school. In fact, a young student from the Sommese school obtained the Campania Europa 2024 twentieth edition award.

“Campania Europa Award 2024 twentieth edition” and the sixth edition of the Award
special “Sossietta Scialla”, promoted by the Association of former AREC councilors, awarded the prize consisting of a trip to Brussels from 2 to 5 May 2024 to visit the institutional headquarters of the European Parliament and excursions to Brussels (Be), to the student Rahmaoui Loubna of the E. Torricelli classical-scientific high school in Somma Vesuviana.

The commitment to transmitting European values

The student’s participation in the twentieth edition of the Award was made possible by the Director Prof. Anna Giugliano and Prof. ssa Ferrara Mirella. In particular, in her essay Rahmaoui focused on the need for European countries to overcome further difficulties on international markets after the pandemic, highlighting a series of important values ​​of belonging to the European Union:

  1. Solidarity: Europe has demonstrated solidarity through aid programs and financial support to the countries most affected by the pandemic, promoting collaboration and coordination between member states.

and the protection of European citizens, stimulating investments and policies to improve the preparation and management of health emergencies.

4. Sustainability: There has been a growing focus on environmental and social sustainability as an integral part of the post-COVID recovery, with increased commitment to tackling climate change and promoting a green and inclusive economy.

5.Digitalisation: The crisis has accelerated the digitalisation of Europe, highlighting
the importance of digital technologies to support innovation, economic growth and resilience.
