The recent “Spring Cleaning” confirmed this. The Mambretti path and the gardens of via Guardini – in the Sant’Albino district – in Monza are considered by many to be landfills. Over 200 kilograms of rubbish recovered, including work tools, building materials and even an old television.
The path will be subject to interventions in the near future for the construction of the cycle path envisaged in the environmental compensation plan following the expansion of Elesa. The local council and committee have already proposed a series of suggestions and observations in this regard for some time. “Our ideas- state by the Committee-have been received. We hope, however, that before the work begins we will be shown how you intend to act”.

The track will follow a west to east route and pass along the designated area “dell’Ecomostro” (which the old ownership will hand over to the municipality) and then arrive at the Mambretti path to branch south and east until rejoining the cycle path planned by Elesa on his property. During the day this route will be accessible from the swimming pool up to via Adda while at night, when the playground is closed, you will have to turn onto the Mambretti path towards via Guardini and via Marco d’Agrate.
THE citizens ask that healthy trees not be cut down to build the track (“those with tall trees that are not diseased should not be replaced”) and that green materials are used for the land. No asphalt or concrete, therefore, but something less impactful such as concrete. The inhabitants also ask for lighting and benches to make the entire route more comfortable and safe.
